Before I discovered fanfiction - or fanfic - I tended to think it was
written by people who favoured anoraks and knew way too much
about Star Trek and Lord of the Rings.

Now I know differently and while there are some weird stories
getting written out there in fanfic land there are also plenty of

great ones. Fanfic is a nice gentle way to try your hand at writing,
whether it's a short story or a many chaptered piece. Choose your
site well and you will also get supportive and helpful feedback.

The first fanfic I wrote was about Guy of Gisborne and was called
   'Guy meets his Match'.
It is a bit of a romp and meant to be funny
and taught me a lot about what makes people keep reading and
what might turn them off. When I have the opportunity I will post
it here as a sub page.

After that initial fanfic, I wrote another, darker one called 'Love is a
Wound' which may grow into an historical novel some day.

I also wrote a spoof of the BBC production of 'Robin Hood' which
brought together my interest in Amateur Dramatics and my
wonderment at where the scriptwriters were going with the series.
To date I have not been prosecuted by the BBC for this.

'Guy Meets his Match', 'Love is a Wound' and 'Robin Hood - The
Am Dram Version' all appear on
www.c19.proboards.com
in the Tales of Sherwood section under the name hjcrane.

My two fanfics can also be found on www.dreamerfiction.com
   under the name hosmond.
